Privacy Policy

Greetingify ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by SocialBotStudio. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Greetingify website (greetingify.com) or mobile app, how we use it, and how you can control it.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

  • Account information — your name and email address when you sign in with Google or create an email account.
  • Usage data — which features you use (e.g. occasions selected, number of greetings generated) to improve the product. This data is not linked to your identity.
  • Generated content — greeting messages and cover images you generate are stored temporarily (7 days) so you can view your history. They are not shared with other users.
  • Device information — basic device type and OS version collected automatically by Firebase for crash reporting and analytics.

We do not collect location data, contacts, financial information, or any other sensitive data. Guest users (not signed in) are anonymous — no personal data is linked to their session.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and personalise the greeting generation service (e.g. using your name in generated images)
  • To save your greeting history so you can view and reshare past greetings
  • To enforce daily usage limits by plan tier
  • To send account-related communications (no marketing emails)
  • To improve product quality via aggregated, anonymised usage analytics

We do not sell your data to any third party.

3. Third-Party Services

Greetingify uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

  • Google Firebase — authentication, database (Firestore), and storage. Firebase Privacy
  • Google Gemini / Imagen — AI model used to generate greeting text and cover images. Prompts sent to Gemini include only the occasion details you enter. Gemini Terms
  • Google Sign-In — optional authentication method. We receive only your name and email from Google.
  • Firebase Analytics — anonymised, aggregated usage analytics. You can opt out via your device's advertising settings.

4. Data Retention

  • Generated greetings and cover images are automatically deleted after 7 days.
  • Account information (name, email) is retained for as long as your account is active.
  • When you delete your account, all associated data is removed within 30 days.

5. Your Rights & Account Deletion

You can at any time:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Correct your name via the Profile screen in the app
  • Delete your account — open the Greetingify app, go to the Profile tab, scroll to the bottom, and tap "Delete Account". This immediately removes your Firebase Auth account, all greeting history, cover images, and your Greetingify profile.
  • Opt out of analytics via your device settings

If you cannot access the app or need help deleting your account, email us at greetingify@gmail.com with the subject line "Delete my account" and we will process your request within 30 days.

What gets deleted: Firebase Auth account · Firestore profile · greeting history · cover images stored in Firebase Storage.
What is retained: anonymised usage analytics (not linked to your identity) for up to 90 days.

6. Children's Privacy

Greetingify is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored securely in Google Firebase infrastructure. We use Firebase Authentication for secure sign-in — we never store passwords directly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
